Broadway Babies - Musical Theatre

Do you love to sing, dance and act!? Then this class is for you! Students participate in Vocal Ensemble, Jazz Dance, and Acting Exercises led by qualified, upbeat, and experienced professionals. Students will adapt and explore songs and dances from well-known musicals, and build on performance skills, confidence, teamwork and self-expression. *All kids are welcome to register and learn, we do not hold entrance auditions.

Grades 1 & 2 — Class Length: 60 minutes

Tuesday & Saturday options - JUST ADDED! Thursday option!

September 2023 - June 2024

Term 1 (September to December) Students will work towards an open house class in December 2023.

Term 2 (January to June) Students will explore and create a mini-musical show to be performed for a live audience in one of our theatres with costumes and production.


 

Triple Threat - Musical Theatre

Calling all Musical Theatre Kids! Come perform in a musical! Work with our experienced, and empowering industry professionals to explore and perform classical and contemporary scenes and songs from the musical theatre canon. With a focus on storytelling, character creation, movement, ensemble building, and solo work, students will strengthen their memorization, music theory, and musical theatre knowledge while building confidence as a valuable member of their class.

*All kids are welcome to register and learn, we do not hold entrance auditions.

Junior Grades 3 & 4 — Class Length: 2 hours (Tuesday or Saturday)

Intermediate Grades 5 & 6 — Class Length: 3 hours (Saturday or Sunday)

Senior Grade 7 & 8 — Class Length: 3 hours (Saturday or Sunday)

September 2023 - June 2024

TERM 1: September - December 2023
Students will work on building their skills in all disciplines of singing, dancing, and acting, towards an open house class in December 2023.

TERM 2: January - June 2024
Explore, learn, and rehearse a musical show to be performed for a live audience, in one of our theatres, with costumes, lights, and production!

Our Spring 2023 Shows: Could You Hug A Cactus? (Junior), The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White (Intermediate), *Bremen Rock City (Senior).

Broadway Jazz - Dance

Are you ready to snap, spin, and swing to the melodies of classic musical theatre hits? Join us for an exhilarating class that is perfect for beginners and intermediates. Students will be guided through the basic foundations of jazz dance, while focusing on the theatrical flair of Broadway-style performances. From "Chicago" to "Hamilton," we'll have you moving like a seasoned musical theatre pro, so grab your dancing shoes and come experience the rhythm of the stage with us!

Grades 7 - 12 — Class Length: 1 hour

TERM 1: September - December 2023
Students will focus on skill building with an open house class in December.

TERM 2: January - June 2024
Students will continue honing their skills by learning and rehearsing an original choreography to a song from the musical theatre canon, with a final performance in our Dance Showcase in June.


Young Company - Musical Theatre (Previously “Pre-College”)

This class focuses on building the whole artist. With opportunities to create, collaborate, explore, and adapt, high-school students will strengthen their skills and techniques in singing, acting, and movement, as well as script and songwriting, workshopping, directing, and choreographing.

Please note: Although there is no audition for this class, new students registered in the program will be required to submit a headshot and resume with previous musical and or theatre experience to be accepted. This is a fast paced program that requires commitment and dedication. All students entering the program must have at least one year of previous performance experience.

Grades 9 - 12 — Class Length: 3 hours

TERM 1: September - December 2023
Students will work closely with a director, music director, and choreographer to strengthen and flex their performance skills in voice, acting, and movement, while bringing characters and story to life. Students will workshop various original and existing musical theatre pieces unified by a pre-selected theme. Term 1 will culminate in a black box theatre performance, performed for a live audience in December.

TERM 2: January - June 2024
Term 2 will build on these skills as they audition for, and perform an existing book musical. All students will be featured, and have the opportunity to shine in a final performance for a live audience in June.
