Damon Bradley Jang

Damon is a multidisciplinary performing artist, director/ choreographer instructor and designer from Vancouver. He is currently working at the Stratford Festival in his 2nd season in the Birmingham Conservatory assisting on choreography for Much Ado About Nothing and assistant directing the world première of Casey and Diana. He is Co-artistic/marketing director: Fabulist Theatre, Vancouver, BC where he has directed Once on This Island (and associate choreographer, BroadwayWorld Vancouver award Best Director, Best Production), Dracula, Songs for a New World (co-director/choreographer) . Other projects include: Quantum Entanglement (BurlOak New Stages Festival); Cinderella: Broadway Edition, Oliver! (Byrne Creek). As an Associate director/choreographer: Cockroach (world première, Tarragon); Into the Woods (North Shore Light Opera). Assistant director: The Sound of Music (assistant choreographer, Drayton Entertainment); Beneath Springhill (Arts Club), Alls Well That Ends Well (Stratford) As a Choreographer: Little Shop of Horrors (Vagabond Players); As You Like It (Bard in the Valley). As an Actor: The Birds (Birmingham Conservatory) Mamma Mia! (FVS) West Side Story, Singin' in the Rain (TUTS); Thoroughly Modern Millie (Gateway Theatre); Flower Drum Song (VACT); A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Trojan Women (CapU); Love! Valour! Compassion! (Ghostlight); The Threepenny Opera (Theatre In the Raw). As an educator He works with Stratford Education program, countless yearlong and summer programs in BC and also designs and set decorates for theatre, Film and TV. He holds a Bachelors of Performing Arts Dregree and Musical Theatre Diploma from Capilano University in North Vancouver, and has trained in NYC at BDC in Alberta at the Banff Centre and currently in various classes in Toronto.
